About Joey Herd
Country Music Recording Artist Joey Herd has entered into the International Market being nominated for “Gold Record” in January for the Country POP Artist category. Joey’s new single ” the Mirror Never Lies ” is well accepted by Country & Country POP fans and is gaining air play around the world.
Joey’s accomplishments include: winning the CMA Vocal Competition in Nashville for his cover of ChrisCagle’s “What A Beautiful Day” and Best Original Performance for his song “Free Ride.” Joey was also named, “Missouri Entertainer of the Year,” where he currently resides and still performs frequently in the Ozarks, and is available for bookings in your area. In 2014, Joey released his first album “How It Feels,” which encompasses a little of something for every listener.
Behind every song Joey writes and/or records, there is a story and a purpose, and behind that purpose is a man who works hard to support his family while working to make his dreams become a reality.
Meet the Band
“Vincent Nolden” — From the time he was born, Vincent has been surrounded by music. His first true music experience was on stage in a sling behind his mother’s guitar at 2 weeks old and from then on he hasn’t stopped. Throughout high school he was involved in numerous theater groups, bands, and solo performance opportunities which led him to pursue a degree in music in Springfield Missouri. While his degree is in Music Industry and Recording Technology, his pursuits both academically and recreationally were in composing and arranging music for a wide variety of genres.
After Graduating with his Bachelor’s degree, Vincent started composing and arranging under the name Spire Composing and worked for various entities including The Krakow Orchestra, the Messiah Project, TnT Studios and many more. He currently is the Music Director and a band member for 3 bands including The Joey Herd Band, Fields of Heather, and Queen City Vinyl.
“Darren Williams” — Darren was born and raised in St. Louis, Illinois. He started playing the drums at age 8 and started playing professionally in music studios, churches, and on stage at the age of 15. Darren was diagnosed with cerebral palsy as an infant but did not let the odds beat him. He had credits with the Violet Hour, Nobel Brooks, Jay Lipe, Whitney Balash, The Final Piece, and Master’s Commission Springfield just to name a few.
Darren plays DW & PDP drums and hardware, Zildjian cymbals, Pintech USA Gibraltar hardware, Vic Firth drumsticks, and Evans drumheads.
“Nick Murphy” — Nick was born and raised in St. Peter’s Missouri.
At the young age of 9 he had received his first guitar and proceeded to play it everyday since then. In the early school years Nick took a liking to the saxophone among other instruments. He believes in the self taught philosophy, where as you are the greatest teacher for yourself.
After college, Nick then went on to play in many local bands such as the Tyler Samuels Band and the blues trio band known as The Letter 8.
“Evan Marshall” —
Evan is a guitarist, vocalist, and actor who has been playing music and acting in the Springfield, MO, Kansas City, Cedar Rapids, IA and Rocheter, MN areas over the past 25 years. Recent work includes guitar and vocals for Human Anyway with their notable release of the single “Cry Me A River” and their album Critical Mass. Other prior musical work includes playing guitar and singing with Just William which had the chart topping single “Rosalie” from their album Blue Goodbye, playing guitar for the band Funk Radio Machine with Paralandra guitarist Paul Carson, and playing in the improvisational country trio The Squirrel Chasers with comedian Jeff Jenkins. Evan thanks his wife and daughters for all their creativity, and for always supporting my musical and acting endeavors.
